Karen Read trial prosecutor Hank Brennan will be moving to play videos of Karen’s own statements, to the media and otherwise, during his opening arguments.
Brennan’s notice to the court explains that “recorded statements of the defendants” will be provided to the defense and, sometime in the coming days or weeks, used in the state’s much-anticipated opening statement.
These statements will, no doubt, show Karen's changing story as to the moments circa 12:31am on 1/29/22 (when Karen is alleged to have drunkenly backed up into John O'Keefe with her Lexus, only to then leave John to die in the snow on a lawn).
Karen, for some reason, worked with a documentary crew during her first trial, and 400 hours of footage of recorded (including some footage Karen tried to keep from the public, only for it to be turned over to Brennan before Read's re-trial), and 41 such clips are on Brennan's discovery list.
